Our Mission

MSNF is a non-profit community organization providing financial support towards therapies for children with special needs.

Our mission Is to ensure that under privileged children with special needs and their families receive the financial support and resources to afford the necessary therapy, enabling these children to reach their full potential and live happier lives.

MSNF relies on people like you to help make a difference in the lives  of these children and their families.

Your generosity allows us to achieve our mission of helping all children with special needs. These funds will be applied to ABA, Speech, Physio and Occupational Therapy.

Children with special needs require a minimum of at least one hour of therapy per week to help reach their full potential.

Your support and generosity will allow us to help low income families get the necessary therapy. Please help us to make this wonderful organization a place to help children with special needs.

 Improving Children's Lives Through Therapy

As a parent, ensuring that your child be given the best start in life is the highest priority. This priority is no different for a parent of a special needs child. Unfortunately wait times for special therapies and services are very long. Families can wait up to 12 months to get a diagnosis and then have to wait another 18 months depending on that diagnosis.

The key to success is early intervention and the fastest route for help is in the private sector but costs associated with providing early intervention to improve the quality of life for the child can be overwhelming for parents without the financial means.

Parents are committed to giving their child what he or she needs to advance but cannot afford the costs of a therapist. The average therapy rates are up to $150 per hour, this is where MSNF comes in and helps make a difference in the lives of these children and their families.

Comedy Show

Badouri and friends

By Joel Ceausu

When the line began forming two hours before showtime, passersby could be forgiven for wondering what the hype was outside Cabaret C on a Tuesday night.

As bodies filled the cool and cozy Laval venue, the electricity in the air was undeniable, as more than 200 people turned out for an evening of rip-roaring laughter for a serious cause.

They were in the right place. International comedy star and Laval native Rachid Badouri and his friends took to the stage to support some of Montreal’s most vulnerable children, in a surprise show with a decidedly speak-easy feel.

Sponsored by Jaguar Land Rover Laval, the comedy show netted more than $8,400 for the Montreal Special Needs Family Organization, which funds crucial therapies for children with special needs whose families do not have the financial resources to do so themselves. “We are so proud of the turnout and the result” said Jaguar Land Rover marketing director Adrienne McGrath. “Rachid and his friends did such a great job and so many of our supporters came out to support this great cause.”

It took all of second for the comic line up to agree, says Badouri. “I asked my friends to join me in this cause and every single one of them agreed in a fraction of a second,” he told a rapt crowd, who listened to Badouri and his friends including Mélanie Ghanimé, Anas Hassouna and Neev Bensimhon riff on immigration, sex, language, and terrorism in a show that that ran for hours beyond its initial planning.

“Currently the MSNF are a small organization doing great things” said McGrath. “Jaguar Land Rover Laval wants to help this smaller organization get bigger and expand its reach, by helping them with an exposure event such as this one.”

If every child matters, every child has the right to a good start in life. If every child matters, then every child should be included. And that is so important with children with special needs.
